These charts have been created from Digital Sky Survey images obtained via Wikisky.

The charts have been made with the help of Mati Morel's "Visual Atlas of the Small Magellanic Cloud"*, Jenni Kay's "Visual Atlas of the Magellanic Clouds" and "Star Clusters" by Brent A Archinal and Steven J Hynes published by Willman-Bell.

Observing the Small Magellanic Cloud

Charts The 9 SMC charts developed for this web site so far are designed for printing out and using at the telescope. Clicking on the link below will take you to the key chart, and clicking on each of the nine divisions of the key chart will take you to each chart. You can also go to the key chart from the menu above. I have all 9 printed off and in plastic jackets to prevent dewing. The charts are colour negative for ease of printing and reading.
